Hail!

Megadeth was awesome as always. Too bad the soundsystem was - to be completely honest - rather crap! Why in hell’s name anyone would put a metal gig, a Megadeth one at that, inside a goddamned concrete echo chamber a.k.a. Tennis Outdoor Senayan is way beyond me.

Furthermore, drinks were not allowed. Not even friggin water. I do understand that the reason is usually due to the general Indonesian immaturity e.g. throwing bottles and a plethora of other craps into stage. However, I still can’t believe that there is no water available inside the venue. Sold or provided.

There were a few minor mistakes but quite apparent and audible when they performed “Ashes In Your Mouth” and a few other songs. Despite that fact, nothing broke their ass-kickin performance. Only true metal gods can improvise their way through shit like that.

However, I still like the gig in Brisbane - Australia 2005 better. Much smaller crowd yet the band and the audience packed so much more energy. In fact, hands down, one of the best gigs I saw in Brisbane. Ever.

Conclusion:

Venue soundsystem = fail.

Ultimately, rants and ravings aside…

No worries, Dave! For we, Indonesian metalheads, were friggin awestruckingly rocked. Our heartfelt gratitude for playing over here, gods-of-metal sirs!

We eagerly await your next mind-blowingly ass-kickin display of metal prowess!!!
