Norin Counts No More :pWednesday night was full of contradictory emotions. First off, there was the QCA Fine Arts Graduate Exhibition. Among the students who put up their stuff were Peter, Kristine and Camilla. Peter’s Machine Humiliation and Trio Washing Machine as well as Kristine’s Suitcase and Tent were some of the highlights of the installation art thingy. Good venue, good atmosphere, good overall. Too bad, me and Dan didn’t take any pics of the exhibition itself. We are the dumbasses.

But anyway, Camilla and Norin were going to fly home to Norway for good the next day so the atmosphere was also a bit dreary. I fucking hate goodbyes. I just don’t handle them well. Ever. I must say, I’m not exactly their closest friend but dang man the saying goodbye sucked. Still, the whole going out with the gang was good.

Had to call Norin in the morning to help her wake up after the big night. Cuz she needs to sort out a few important things before the noon flight. Apparently she almost got stuck at the Brisbane airport cuz the flight was full. I told her to call me or Dan if she does get stuck for long but no call so I guess she did fly.

Another thing about this particular goodbye is that it’s such a big reminder of how my student life in Australia is even closer to its inevitable end. I’m going home - most likely for good - in March next year. So by then, I’ve lived in Brisvegas for six years minus three months. Dang man, does time fly or what? Brissie has become such a home to me. I’m gona fucking miss it. Heck, Bandung will almost be alien to me when I get back. Fuck that, I don’t want to think about it now. Too fucking melancholic. This is driving me nuts. Like they say, all good things must come to an end. Bah.

Anyhow, just want to say here to all of the people I did and didn’t say goodbye to:

Take care. Keep in touch.
It’s been great knowing you all.

We shall meet again someday.
All the best, yarrrr!

Ciao.

Good things go to end to let better things to start ;)

I’ve been away from Jakarta a while, too, but I’m just starting a new BA, so I won’t have to think about going back for awhile. But hey, who nows where one will end up, right? In 10 years you might be living some crazy life in some unheard-of country. ~_^*
