EXHIBITON
Dang. I’m so late posting this since I haven’t been checking Kim’s site for a while. But anyway, EXHIBITON was held at Unit 419 (Kim’s place) on October 14th and hosted mostly third and second-year QCA students art. Though there were a couple of Bond Uni students stuff too. I was going to submit my stuff but at some point I felt too lazy… you know, conquering barbarians and all.
The Scandos brought their drinking might, the Indos brought an army of DJ’s. And yes, the title is spelled correctly. Heh.
Check out some pics at Kim’s gallery. You might even be able to spot me.

Hey Devi, Just started playing the R:TW Imperial Campaign… These Germans are total assholes. I find the RTS end of the game kind of sloppy to control, and normally just let the AI fight it out for me. Minus the RTS, the turn based stuff is heck of a lot like a Civilization vs. Genghis Khan mash up.
Nice site.

I think the Germans are ok compared to the Senate. I love the money from them, but SPQR likes to stab you in the back. The RTS of R:TW needs a bit polishing I reckon especially the camera controls. But leaving the battles to the AI normally makes you lose so much, it’s not funny. Trick is, if the Gaius Marius reform hasn’t materialized, invest on a lot of Principes. The Triarii are strong but tend to snobbishly stay engaged even when they’re halfway fcuked. The Hastati are ok but you can’t expect them to hold the line forever.
The world map needs an undo feature. I hate it when I walk my units somewhere only to realize that I don’t want to go there. Bah.
Thanks Trent.

I’ve had time with my DSL being down and no Internet to give Barbarian Invasion a try… First capaign with the Huns, and I can’t seem to figure out what the hell I’m doing wrong. My civ basically implodes after only a 20 or so turns… I guess I need to take a rape and pillage approach and march my ass to rome along the way. Give me some time to learn and eventually I’ll go head to head with ya sometime if our connections are good enough.
See ya,
Trent

[…] Started as an excuse to party in our Brisbane days. Now, in Bandung, Dan and I have twice managed to successfully persuade Dan’s friends to find more excuses to party. So far so good. And as the exhibition title says, it’s easy. Feckin’ A! […]
